Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) discontinuing as many as 34 Plans

At BankandFinance.com, it has come to our attention that Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will be discontinuing many popular plans to be compliant with new regulations on non-linked insurance schemes. A senior LIC official confirmed that as many as 34 policy plans will be no longer available as of December 31, 2013.

Because customers choose a plan based on their needs, it is important for any potential customer to know that there is only a short amount of time left to purchase an LIC policy before they change.

LIC of India will no longer be able to offer certain plans such as Jeevan Amrit, Jeevan Surabhi, Jeevan Anand, Jeevan Saral in the New Year. Last month LIC of India had already withdrawn 14 policies including Term Insurance and Children Deferred Endowment Assurance.
